![]() To me, it must be fresh brewed, just the right amount of sugar, plenty of ice and please.don't let my glass run dry. How refreshing is that ? I can usually tell right away when entering a place of business if there are good and positive vibes or on the other hand bad vibes. This place made me feel good! One of my personal peeves in a southern restaurant is the way sweet tea is handled. even though the parking lot looked kind of packed, there were several parking places available.I was a little worried that we might have to wait to be seated, but we were greeted right away and seated promptly in a nice comfortable booth. The wait staff seemed very friendly and enthusiastic about us being there. We were traveling down Coleman Blvd and lo and behold we saw this cool looking place with a good southern food in it's pulled right in. I was getting tired of eating at the same old places so we headed over to Mt.Pleasant to see what we could find. Lucky for us, the appointments were over with about lunch time. ![]() My wife and I were down in the Charleston area for an appointment at the Veterans Hospital. This is where I usually tell the place where to improve. This older man actually knocked over his beer at the table and his waitress was so nice to him, cleaned everything up and brought him another one. Also the price, really $13 for a good steak with two sides & $9 for a great chicken fried steak with two sides and a biscuit. Places like this really makes us wish it was closer to home. Only small request is how bout a small side of gravy for the biscuit. My wife had a steak which was really good. I'm usually not a chicken fried steak kind of guy but man that was amazing. Told us the truth about each dish and she was spot on. Our waitress (Lauren aka: Reese Witherspoon's voice over) shows up at our table & was nice & extremely helpful. ![]() I'm 32 & wife is 26 so we were the youth in this restaurant by far. Fresh food, sure lets taste it & we'll see. Our waitress was fun and we never wanted for anything that she wasn't one step ahead.Ok, we looked at the site & read a little before going. We had to get them to go because we were bursting at the seams, but they were fresh and good. I can't even begin to rave about the fresh desserts too. None of that cheese sauce on those, it was the baked kind with real cheese. A bit too hot for me but not for everyone. We also had a hell burger which if you like the fire in your food was good. Large slices of tomatoes deep fried with the other flavors made it a treat. We also had the Page's PBT which is pimento cheese, bacon, fried green tomatoes, and it was terrific as well. The pimento cheese is what really adds to the taste. The hamburger meat is so moist and full of flavor. We had the "build your own" with pimento cheese and mushrooms. We ordered different sandwiches and cut them up and shared them with each other to try different ones. First we tried the appetizer "Redneck Rolls" which are pulled pork and pimento cheese, and they just melted deliciousness in our mouth. Thank goodness I live 14 hours away or I'd never leave. The restaurant is nice but nothing out of the normal. We had a 20 minute wait for Saturday lunch, but they have both inside and outside seating to wait. We were looking for a new place to have lunch on our way out of town and found this listed on Trip Advisor so we gave it a try.
